History

Copcisa was established in 1965 in Terrassa (Barcelona - Spain) as a specialist earthworks company. During the 1970s and 1980s the company undertook all types of Civil Engineering projects.

In the 1990s Copcisa became firmly established as a leading construction company on the basis of prudent management and a highly professionalised structure. Along with major Civil Engineering projects a new impetus was given to the Services and Building areas with several landmark projects completed. In this period the Madrid office was opened and together with other construction companies Copcisa founded the National Association of Independent Construction Companies (ANCI).

The turn of the millennium coincided with a period of large-scale infrastructure development in Spain, in which Copcisa was highly active. Copcisa also extended its office network to Sevilla, Zaragoza and A Coruña. The international expansion also began in this period with the opening of offices in Chile.
