The results for 2009 demonstrate solidity and the trust that clients continue to place in Copcisa year after year. Highlights among new orders received in 2009 are the N-337 southern access road to Gandía Port (Valencia), noise barriers for the AVE high-speed train line on the La Roca-Riudollets stretch (Barcelona) or the Segarra-Garrigues irrigation distribution network in Lleida.

In the Building area, highlight projects are the Barcelona Design Centre, the extension of various halls at the Fira exhibition centre in Barcelona, urban development in La Rinconada (Seville), the AVE high-speed train station in Requena-Utiel (Valencia) or the new central public library in Badajoz.

Turnover reached €338m. Between Civil Engineering and Building, a total of 117 projects were carried out, located throughout the Spanish mainland.

The order book value at the end of 2009 totals €625m, with a notably positive distribution considering the current circumstances. In construction, 67% of the order book is for Civil Engineering work, 2% is for Services, while the remaining 31% corresponds to Building work, of which almost all is for facilities projects (non-residential).

This same order book is almost equally shared out between Central Government (34%), Regional Government (28%) and the Private Sector (33%), with the remainder for Local Government (7%). This is a very balanced order book in which the reduction in residential dwelling construction has been amply compensated by a significant rise in the volume of non-residential building work.
