The goal of Copcisa’s health and safety policy is to achieve a zero-accident rate and to become a standard bearer in this area. As evidence of intensive work carried out, the number of qualified health and safety technicians employed by the company increases each year and every site has at least one health and safety technician. They all hold the Master in Health and Safety qualification which involves 600 hours of study.
The company has held the certificate of compliance with the Spanish Health and Safety Law 54/2003 since the year 2004 and is audited by the TÜV Group. In 2009, Copcisa was certified to the OSHAS 18001:2007 safety standard, once again by TÜV.
Training in the health safety area is given to employees every year. Additionally, all newly-hired technical staff receive training as part of Copcisa’s in-house training programme and one of the courses specifically deals with health and safety.
